Last Friday saw the first annual Hawks Pub Golf tournament which teed off from Old Anniesland and finished further back up Gt Western Road

Tournament director Graham Harkness kindly provided an excellent blow by blow account of the evening as it unfolded unfortunately it is not for the faint hearted

The winner of this prestigious occasion was Jono Wright-that is according to his Facebook site so it must be correct---- after all Aussie Test players announce that they have been dropped on Twitter

In the heat of the evening our intrepid reporter followed the advice of tabloid investigative journalists and "made his excuses and left"
