Accies Team News
Accies support are going to have to wait for another two weeks before they see Captain Jamie Doig make his return from a serious leg injury. He has made good progress and expects to be available for the first league game on 29th August. They will also have to wait for Carl Bates an ex rugby league stand off who has suffered a shoulder injury. On the positive side David Calder, son of Jim, a prop, has rejoined the Club and Steve Begley makes a welcome return. Also returning to the Club are Dougie Horne (wing) and Dougie Horner (full back). all these players will appear in tonight's game. Another newcomer is Adam Howie, grandson of Andrew & Joan, who played for Edinburgh University last season.
Coach Donald Reid has a far bigger squad available this season but due to work commitments, weddings, holidays and injuries has 17 players unavailable for tonight's trial game. Just the usual early season stuff.
