Glasgow Warriors head coach, Sean Lineen, is looking for his players to display both the appetite and ability shown in training over the summer months when they face Doncaster Knights at Castle Park tomorrow evening (ko 7.30pm).
With only four changes to the side that played against Clermont Auvergne in the second and final game of the Challenge Auvergne in Issoire, Sean is looking forward to further improvement against the English National One side.
“The key thing is we need continuity. The Scotland players have been away on a three-day training camp whilst we have been working really hard with the players here in Glasgow.
“All the Scotland players will be involved at some stage though as we look to build further continuity going into the home game against Wasps next week.
“There’s real competition for places and this is the start of it now. Players know that they can’t just walk into this team.
“I’ve been very impressed with the players’ attitude especially the likes of Peter Murchie, Colin Shaw and Pat MacArthur in addition to some of the more senior players like Dougie Hall and Tim Barker.
“The players are all really pushing for places during training and all I want now is for them to show the hunger they’ve displayed in training and put into action what we’ve been practising over the last three months.”
