Accies field the most experienced back division tomorrow for some years when they take on National Division 2 newcomers Lasswade at New Anniesland.
Jamie Doig the Club captain returns after a one year lay off, with a knee injury, to play in the centre with ex Hawks centre Stewart Smith. Dougie Horne returns to the Club and will bring real pace to the left wing. The ever improving Ali McLaren will play at fullback and be responsible for the goal kicking. The other backs, Mike Hermes, Alan Wilson and Richard McKnight are all highly experienced operators.
In the forwards Jack Walker, Fraser Cameron and Chris Wright are missing. Jack is back from South africa next week, fraser has to work on Saturday and Chris will be out for a few weeks with a wrist injury.
into the pack come David Calder at prop after an absence of two years playing for Stewart Melville, the mighty steve Begley back from retirement and new boy Adam Howie from Edinburgh University 1st XV. All are experienced hands.
It is difficult to predict how this game will go as the sides have never played each other in a competitive match. The kick off is at 3-00pm
