Anniesland Hawks XV

Glasgow Hawks are pleased to announce the formation of a new team to play under the name of Anniesland Hawks. The team has been admitted into Reserve League West 3 to fill a gap and take the league up to an even number of sides. This will avoid the necessity of one team each week not having a fixture.

Anniesland Hawks are a combination of players from Glasgow Hawks, Glasgow Accies and GHK. All three clubs have had a major influx of new players this season and not all could be accommodated in the existing 2nd XV’s of the respective clubs.

Anniesland Hawks will be a Development XV consisting mainly of players who have left school in recent years and are experiencing Senior Rugby for the first time. There will also be a few older players to add some experience.

The first match is this Saturday 10th October against Hamilton RFC 3rd XV at Hamilton.

Any player wishing to join the side should come to training at either Old or New Anniesland on Tuesday’s or Thursday’s at 6-30
