DEVELOPMENT OFFICER UPDATE

Welcome to all Hawks Junior Rugby players and supporters for our match against Bouroughmuir. The players are playing really well at the moment and commented on how much noise has been made at all of our home games so please keep that up today, they do appreciate all of your support and they will be around at the end of the game to sign autographs and chat to you.

Today we are running an under 15 7 aside festival in partnership with the Royal Navy, the teams competing in the festival are Glasgow Hawks, Dalziel, Hamilton, Paisley, West of Scotland and a Royal Navy Select Squad. The Royal Navy will also have various different inflatable type games so please feel free go ahead and try some of these.

On Sunday 25th of October the junior teams at Hawks return to action after the school holidays the under 13’s and 14’s are both away to Ayr. The under 15’s will be at home against Allan Glen’s in the first round of the Scottish Bowl and the under 16’s will be away to Gala in the last 16 of the Scottish Cup.

The Glasgow Hawks community programme is now into full swing with the focus this term being on the local secondary schools. We are in Knightswood Secondary delivering rugby 6 times a weekduring the boy’s P.E. curriculum time and have set up a Tuesday after school club at St Thomas Aquinas and we will be looking to do the same with Drumchapel High School.
