Good afternoon folks and welcome to Old Anniesland for this Premier 1 game vs one of my old clubs Boroughmuir and also a warm welcome to Boroughmuirs coaching team of Fergus Pringle and Phil Smith

After a good result away against Watsonians last week it is vital that we continue this week against Boroughmuir who are also looking to get themselves back in winning ways after a defeat against Edinburgh Accies

I thought our performance last week was very workman like with all players shown a great work rate and a desire to play the game at a fast tempo – something that we do well at times but must look to do more often.

Once again numbers at training are excellent and we have had to make provision for these players by starting up Anniesland Hawks, consisting of Hawks, GHK & Accies players which played its first game last week against Hamilton 3rd ‘s – winning 29 – 23. This team will allow us to get rugby for everyone connected with Anniesland so as no one is sitting around on a Saturday afternoon twiddling their thumbs
