Pete looking to bounce back

Coaches Corner

Good afternoon folks and welcome to Old Anniesland for this Premier 1 game vs Dundee High School FP and also a warm welcome to Dundee’s coach Ian Rankin.

After a very poor result last week it is vital we get back on the winning way again – not only was the result poor but the manner of the defeat was
disappointing – we just didn’t turn up.

The players have worked very hard this week to prepare for a Dundee team who are also looking to get their season back on the road after a couple of defeats against Boroughmuir & Edin Accies. We must put the Currie defeat behind us and get back to a level of performance that took as to very good victories against Edinburgh Accies and Watsonians. We must challenge ourselves and those around us to get back to that form.

We have finally got back on to the training pitch after the drainage work that was done over the summer – it was certainly worth the wait, the pitch is excellent and it’s great to be training on a solid surface when the winter months are upon us.

I hope everyone enjoys today’s entertainment and look forward to seeing you in the bar for a social drink after the game.

Director of Rugby
