Captain Jamie Doig, Richard McKnight and Steve Begley all return to the side having missed last week's 38-8 win over Caithness. Hooker Matteo Giovanazzi is unavailable due to work commitments and is replaced by Jordan Sime who plays his first game for the 1st XV. He is a product of Glasgow Academy 1st XV from two seasons ago and gets his chance following some excellent performances in the unbeaten Accies 2nd XV. Stand off Ben Wilkinson has returned to Ireland for Christmas and Alan Wilson moves from scrum half to stand off to replace him.
