Graydon turns out for Hawks

Graydon was playing for Glasgow Hawks this weekend
Warrior Graydon Staniforth played for Glasgow Hawks this afternoon, and helped them to a 25-13 defeat of Aberdeen Grammar.
BT Premiership champions Glasgow Hawks saved their skins with a volley of three tries in seven minutes to outgun plucky Aberdeen GSFP in an Anniesland nailbiter.

The Dons had looked on course to pull off a shock triumph as they led 13-10 well into the last quarter - but the home troops raised their game when it mattered.

Glasgow Warrior apprentice, and man of the match, Iain Kennedy had grabbed the only Hawks first-half try, however it was the touchdowns by fellow apprentice Scott Forrest, as well as Steve Duffy and Mark Sitch which broke the hearts of the visitors.

Murray Strang was also on target with a conversion and penalty for the victors. Former Warrior and Hawks favourite Rory McKay marked his return from Australia to snatch the sole Grammar try, while Mark Ozich kicked the rest of their points
