Wright tips Blair

Former British & Irish Lion Peter Wright has backed Scotland Under-20 fly-half Alex Blair to follow in the footsteps of his older brothers Mike and David by breaking into the professional ranks.
Blair is currently learning the ropes as a fly-half at Scottish Premiership 1 high-fliers Ayr but is on the books of Edinburgh where brothers David - also a stand-off - and Scotland co-captain Mike also ply their trade.

And Wright - who combines his duties with the Scotland Under-20 set-up and coaching Glasgow Hawks - believes it won't be long before all three Blair brothers are on the same teamsheet together.

He said: "Alex Blair has all the potential in the world and is a really interesting character.

"He is a 10 but has got the ability to play at 12, 13 or 15. He always has a lot to say for himself but he backs it up on the pitch as well.

"He is still learning the game but at the rate at which he is learning I am sure there will come a day in the not too distant future where he will be playing alongside his brothers."
