Glasgow Hawks Rugby Club Canniesburn Care Home

Accies update from Ally G

Good evening all,
At long last it seems as if rugby in 2010 will finally get underway on Saturday, that is assuming that there is no more frost.
New Anniesland had thawed out sufficiently to let the boys train on grass last night and you could see from the enthusiastic way that they committed themselves that they were more than pleased to be back.
It was also good to see Jamie Stewart back and one new player, David Dailly, made an appearance.
In some ways the session was fairly robust and one or two players took knocks. The most serious was Dougie Horner who ended up with a badly swollen ankle that needed an x-ray. Other than that the coaches have a full squad to pick from for both 1st XV and 2nd XV for the games against Stewartry at New Anniesland.
Both games kick off at 2-00pm and we look forward to seeing you there for the first stage in the big push for promotion.
