HAWKS S 2S NEWS

HAWKS S2 Coach, Gregor McDougall has been left with an enormous headache at the beginning of the season! It is a headache many coaches would be pleased to have. He now has to choose a starting line-up from 25 very talented rugby players who have all been in attendance at what could only be described as fantastic pre-season training sessions.

The boys have been extremely lucky. On Sunday, David Ross, the GHK coach came and put them through their paces and on Monday Sean Lineen, Glasgow Warriors back coach took the boys for a session. All who participated had a thoroughly enjoyable and educational time as can be seen from the photographs that go along with this report. Everyone involved with Hawks S2 have asked me to express their gratitude to both David and Sean for the time that they have given and also Robert Kielty whose sessions have been very instructive.

All eyes now turn to Gregor who has the very difficult task of selecting the starting line-up for the game against Stirling County at Bridgehaugh on Sunday. The last encounter between the teams was in the SCOTTISH Cup when the Hawks team scraped through to the final by one point, after what could only be described as a nerve-rattling occasion.

If anyone can come along to support on Sunday, it would be greatly appreciated and I am sure that any Supporters will not be disappointed by the standard of Rugby that they witness.

Would all squad players please note that meeting time is 12 Noon on Sunday at Bridgehaugh.
