Adamson out of Sevens


Aberdeen Grammar fullback/centre, Steve Aitken, and Melrose centre/stand-off Craig Jackson have both been called up to the Scotland 7s squad for this weekend's IRB Sevens World Series event in Las Vegas, USA (13 & 14 February).
The duo replace Mike Adamson and Grant Anderson who retire with chest and ankle injuries respectively.
Aitken was a member of the Scotland U20 World Championship squad last season whilst Jackson, the cousin of Glasgow Warriors stand-off Ruaridh Jackson, is a Scotland U18 internationalist.
