Edinburgh Evening News report on tomorrow's clash

Hennessey savours view from above

WATSONIAN ace Bernard Hennessey today looked down from the upper reaches of BT Premiership Division One and insisted there was even more to come from his unbeaten side.

They take on champions Glasgow Hawks at Myreside tomorrow and Hennessey said: "Hawks seem to love throwing the ball around against us, which can maybe be a catalyst for us to step up a notch behind the scrum."

Hennessey is forming an exciting centre partnership with import Brian Rennie and he added: "It's a real pleasure to be playing with Brian for several reasons. Being roughly the same size means we share ball carrying duties when taking the game to the opposition leaving me to perhaps run off the ball more.

"My brother, Brett, played with Brian in the Natal Sharks set-up in South Africa and has always spoken warmly about his abilities.

"I'm glad to be involved in a partnership that comes at a time when Watsonians have as good young players as at any time in my association with the club. Just how far we have developed should become more apparent tomorrow."

While Watsonians could be unchanged, Hawks shake up their back-line, which is affected by an injury to Ian Kennedy at centre. Charlie MacElroy deputises.
