Accies News from Ally G

Good morning everyone,
After the disappointment of last week's game being cancelled due to the snow hopefully we can get back to playing on Saturday when Preston Lodge are the visitors to New Anniesland. Accies won the first game fairly comfortably. With both sides desperate for points for different reasons it should make for an exciting game. Shona Brash the President of Preston Lodge is, as far as we know, the only lady President of a Scottish Rugby Club and we will look forward to welcoming her and her team to Anniesland on Saturday.
The game kicks off at 3-00 pm. Soup and sandwiches will be available for supporters in the Clubhouse prior to the game from 1-30 onwards
The game on Saturday is the first of three consecutive home games the others are as follows:
Saturday 13th March v RHC in the 2nd round of the SHE Shield kick off 12-30. This will allow people time to get to Murrayfield for the Scotland v England game at 5-00pm.
Saturday 20th March v Highland at 2-30pm. This is super Saturday when all 6 nations are involved in the final round of internationals for this season. Why not come out and see Accies play and stay on and see Ireland play Scotland on the big screen in the atmosphere of the v Clubhouse. There will also be a lunch that day (details later).
There is a huge amount still to play for this season but we need your support to cheer the boys on if they are to achieve the goal of promotion to National League 1. Currently they are in second place behind Lasswade by 2 points with each side having 5 games remaining. It couldn't be much closer.
We look forward to seeing you again soon.
Alasdair Graham
