The draw has been made for the Davidson Chalmers Melrose 7s Veterans Tournament (Friday 9th April), with Morgan Academy drawn against Glasgow Hawks, Melrose, Davidson Chalmers Optimists, and Ledbury.
The other first round pool comprises Orkney, Millbrae, Edinburgh Accies, the North Berwick Puffin Gannets, and Madras.

The veterans’ tournament will consist of teams of ten players, with two teams from each pool going forward to the semi-final.  Clubs eliminated in the first round will enter subsidiary Bowl and Plate events. 

Last year, the competition was won by the Border Reivers, the Bowl by Morgan Academy, and the Plate by Ledbury.

The veterans’ tournament, now in its third year, is expected to draw in supporters from across the UK – and from around the world, with many supporters also staying on for the main event the next day.

Spectator entrance to the Friday tournament is free, with free car parking.  There will be bar and catering facilities.
