Scotland 19s beat Young Hawks

Craig Jackson – younger cousin of Scotland A stand-off Ruaridh – played a prominent role in ensuring Scotland under-19s chalked up a 19-0 warm up win over Glasgow Hawks Development squad with the teenage Borderer contributing nine points; including two conversions.
Ahead of the forthcoming match against Italy, head coach Bob McKillop selected a side bursting with talent for the friendly fixture at Old Anniesland.
At half-time, the scoreline was still blank, but, after the break, Scotland raised the tempo and produced an enterprising brand of rugby which led to three tries.

The opening score of the game came courtesy of full-back Glenn Bryce with the other tries scored by Jamie Forbes and centre Jackson.
Overall, it was a productive work-out for McKillop’s squad and the players asserted themselves well at the breakdown in order to provide a solid platform for the backs to execute some slick, flowing rugby.
