Match Day Notes

Good afternoon folks and welcome to Old Anniesland for this Premier 1 game vs Watsonians and also a warm welcome to Watsonians coach Bruce Aitcheson and his players.

Hopefully now that we are into spring we can get the rest of the matches played and in what is hopefully going to be some fine weather which allows both teams to play some open expansive rugby

There is still a huge amount for both teams to play for, with Hawks pushing for 4th place and a possible place in the British & Irish cup next season and Watsonians playing to avoid relegation to Premier 2 so a huge amount at stake for both teams.

Going back to the poor weather this season – is it now time to look at the timing of our season? Should we move the season to the summer months and have December, January & February as our close season? I think if you ask most players & coaches then the answer would be a resounding yes but sometimes we don’t these people and the decision is made by people out with this group. What do you think?
