Match Day Notes
Good evening folks and welcome to Old Anniesland for this Premier 1 game vs Ayr and also a warm welcome toAyr coach and good friend (most of the time) Kenny Murray.
After a good result last week against Watsonians we are hoping to build on that victory against West coast rivals Ayr. It is important that we finish the season well so as we can build on things into 2010/11
Last week’s deserved victory was built on a great foundation provided by the forwards in which we got real go forward and some good quick ball – good to see things we are doing in training baring fruit on the pitch.
Local derbies are always good and this one tonight against current champions will be no different, it will be physical and intense and I’m sure there will be a lot of good rugby played.
As a team Glasgow Hawks have come a long way, sitting5th and hoping to get up to 4th – this time last season wefinished 10th in the league. So there has been a good improvement but we still have a long way to go.
With the season going well into May for some clubs it looks as though we are going to get summer rugby wither we like it or not – so maybe it is time to look and see if now is the right time to change
