Match Day Notes

 

Good afternoon folks and welcome to Burnbrae for our last Premier 1 game of the season vs Currie and also a warm welcome to Currie coach Ally Donaldson and his players

Currie have everything to play for today needing 3 points to clinch the title from Ayr but we won’t be in the mood to make this easy for Currie and hopefully we can add a wee twist to the end of the season

Looking back over our season I think we can be pleased with the progress we have a made – we finished 10th last year on 42 points and with this game still to be played we are sitting on 60 points, which works out at about 4 more wins than last season – if you take in to account last minute loses to Melrose & Heriots you just wonder where we could have finished with a wee bit more luck.

I would just like to thank all the players and coaches for the hard work they have put in over the season and I hope you have not only enjoyed the journey but are up for it again next season. A special thanks to Ian Noble, Nick Cox & Steven Duffy who have been fantastic stalwarts to the club but who have now decided to move on or hang their boots up – all the best lads and thanks

Finally I would like to thank everyone who has supported the club this season from spectators to sponsors – if it wasn’t for your loyal support we wouldn’t be able to do any of the things we have done over the last couple of season, so once again thanks very much and I hope everyone has a great summer and I look forward to seeing you again next season
