Former Hawks star Ally Maclay has had an eventful year and more to follow
At the tail end of the Rugby Season in Hong Kong he was tasked with
hosting the HKRFU box at the Hong Kong 7s,
During the season he acted as assistant coach to Sam Pinder in coaching
the Hong Kong Under 14 squad and was involved with coaching the Hong
Kong National squad. He also gained his Level 2 Coaching Certificate and
is hoping to attain his Level 3 in the not too distant future,
He is now off on secondment to Sydney to do some schools coaching at
Newington College under the auspices of the HKRFU,
Before he left for Sydney he was asked on his return in September to act
as the coach to the Hong Kong Ladies 7s squad. Unfortunately due to his
playing commitments with Tradition Valley he has had to turn this
opportunity down. Apart from playing with Tradition Valley he has also
been appointed their Attack Coach.
