When Nick Cox pitched up at Glasgow Hawks five years ago I am not sure if he realised just where he had arrived at
A young rugby player who had played pro as a teenager with Gloucester in the Heineken Cup and was attached to Coventry -which unknown to Nick was a club with a long association to Old Anniesland
Nick had arrived in "No Mean City" to pursue a course in Religious Studies little knowing he was arriving at one of the cradles of muscular christianity
Following the successful conclusion of his studies he took up a post at St Silas in Woodlands Rd just a few yards from the very birthplace of that Scottish symbol of muscular christianity The Boys Brigade which had been formed in the Free Church Mission Hall in North Woodside Rd
Nick now departs Hawks and Glasgow to take up a post in "Auld Ayr, wham ne'er a town surpasses For honest men and bonie lasses."
Good luck to Karen and Nick from all at Hawks
