This week Lord Coe came to Scotstoun to champion the benefits of community sport arising from 2014
Within a day Hawks rise to this call putting on primary schools rugby session in neighbouring Victoria Park



Lord Coe to sign 2014 Games deal
Lord Coe, the head of the 2012 London Olympic Organising Committee, is to visit Glasgow to sign an agreement with the board of the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games.
The two committees are to formalise a deal to share the financial and social benefits of hosting the two events so close together.
The 2012 Olympics and 2014 Commonwealth Games mark just the second time the two events have been hosted by the same country within two years of each other.
The two committees agreed a memorandum of understanding, to be signed tomorrow, to pursue "joint benefits" arising from the games.
They include deals on sponsorship, volunteers and secondments for staff, but full details have not yet been released.
Lord Coe, who masterminded London's successful bid to host the 2012 Summer Olympics, will meet the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games chief executive John Scott in Glasgow's Scotstoun Stadium to sign the agreement.
The former middle distance runner won the 1500m gold medal at the Olympic Games in 1980 and 1984, and set eight outdoor and three indoor world records.
He served as a Member of Parliament for the Conservative Party from 1992-97, and became a life peer in 2000.
In 2007, he was elected a vice-president of the International Association of Athletics Federations

Hawks Primary School Festival


This Wednesday(26th of May) Glasgow Hawks are running a youth festival for primary 6 children at Victoria Park from 09:30 - 12:00, there will be around 150 boys and girls taking part in the event.
