An informed source has alerted this column to the fact that tonight will see former Hawks captain Davie Wilson unveiled as the new coach of Dalziel
Davie led Hawks to a historic league and cup double in 1998
Since then he has coached at Hawks, GHA and more recently Dunfermline
He will have a lot to live up to as he heads for this hotbed of Scottish sport North Lanarkshire an area that has produced world class boxers like Chic Calderwood,Olympian swimmers like Cathy Gibson and exceptional athletes like Ian Macafferty and Tom McKean the former having made the Olympic 5000 metres final in Munich
