MISS Scotland Katharine Brown wants a lotto luck to battle Mr Scotland in a Postcode Challenge quiz.

She will take on Gavin McDonald in the celebrity edition of the People's Postcode Lottery-sponsored show.

And a string of other stars are also lined up for the STV hit, hosted by Angus Purden.

Excited Katharine, 22, said: "I'm a massive fan of the show.

"Angus is the best looking man on TV - I love him to pieces and can't wait to appear on his show. But Mr Scotland better watch out - I'm going to kick his ass." Katharine, of Dunblane, Perthshire, will go head-to-head with Glasgow Hawks ace Gavin, 27, in the show, which returns to our screens on July 2.

A source said: "Katharine is beautiful and will add a bit of glitz and glamour to the show.

"Seeing stars compete against each other is always great fun and a number of names from the world of entertainment will be involved in showbiz specials."

The quiz sees two teams of neighbours battle to win up to £25,000 for a chosen charity.

Host Angus, 36, launched the show's latest run in April, as the gorgeous STV weathergirl Jean Johansson took over from him on the People's Postcode Lottery.

Jean, 29, is set to hand over her first winning cheque tomorrow.

She said: "I can't wait to start handing out the cash. It's such a great, feel-good gig for the summer - a chance to do something light-hearted and fun, but life-changing too."

Jean, who finished a masters degree is broadcast journalism this week, is married to footballer Jonatan Johansson, 34, who played for Rangers and Hibs before moving to TPS in his homeland of Finland.

Jean said: "It's tough being apart, but when we're lucky we get a few days off and can jump on a plane to visit each other."
