With plans afoot for Hawks and GHK to tour Canada and USA respectively next year the long tradition of teams from Anniesland touring continues

This tradition dates back to 1870 when the third of Anniesland's triumvirate Glasgow Accies became the first football club rugby or soccer( even before Queens Park's forays into the FA Cup) to cross the border beating Manchester and drawing with Liverpool This was quickly followed by playing North of Ireland in Belfast in 1872 and Blackheath in 1878

Since that time teams from Anniesland have toured all points of the compass from Cape Town to North Carolina from Zimbabwe to Portugal and during these journeys some of the "great" rugby clubs were played
It looks like another chapter and another journey is about to be added.
