Glasgow Warrior's winger Colin Shaw said: "It is key to keep the fans involved and brilliant for them to come along and see where we are now. Also for them to meet the players and be involved with the team."
The touch tournament, which ran alongside the Funday included both mixed sex and male competitions with teams from across Glasgow, getting involved. Glasgow Warriors had their very own exclusive touch team, including players such as Max Evans, Richie Vernon and captain and new signing Chris Fusaro.
Cambuslang were able to hold the Warriors to a one all draw in their first game, but after this the pro’s found their form and went on to win the tournament. Glasgow Hawks were runners up, with GHK finishing third.
Super Mix – a mixed sex team from Cambuslang – won the mixed trophy with victories over the Try Hard’s and Allan Glens.
Warriors Head Coach Sean Lineen was on hand to present the prizes to the winning team captain’s while Scottish Rugby President, Ian McLauchlan, made a guest appearance.
