Frank Hogarth One of the Few
Today saw the sad passing of Mr West Frank Hogarth
Frank must have been one of the last survivors of the long forgotten Kelvinside/West amalgamation of post war Glasgow when homeless West combined with Kelvinside Accies and played at Balgray After this period Frank and West had a nomadic existence throughout the 1950s playing their home games at various grounds including Anniesland

All at West are saddened at the death of Honorary President Frank Hogarth today (2nd August 2010).
For over 50 years Frank has been part of the fabric and history of the club at Burnbrae. Coming from Gala he joined the club in the early 50's and rose to become Club Captain in Season 1955/56. He later went on to become President of the club and latterly Honorary President. His contribution to the life of the club over that long period has been immense
He was held in great respect by a number of generations of both players and administrators and will be sadly missed by all. Sympathy is extended to his wife Frankie and sons Chris and Andrew, and all his extended family.
The funeral is on Monday 9th August at Dunotter Cemetery, Clydebank, Glasgow at 1.30pm.
