Newcastle Falcons have added England 7s international Rob Vickerman to their squad for Friday's finals night in the JP Morgan Asset Management Premiership Rugby 7s.
Having won the Leicester leg of the competition back on Friday July 23 the Falcons have stuck with the bulk of that squad, as they bid to lift the overall title at Bath's Recreation Ground.
Vickerman replaces Jack Harrison in one of just three changes, with the Falcons vying with Saracens, Harlequins, Sale Sharks, Northampton Saints and Exeter Chiefs for the main prize.
The other two changes to the squad see Chris Pilgrim come in for Michael Tait, while the unavailable Jack Smales is replaced by younger brother Hamish.
In Jack's absence the squad is captained by Aaron Myers, with coach Mark Laycock once again drawing heavily on talent from the Wailers Sevens ranks.
"We have kept together the nucleus of the squad which performed so well at Leicester, many of whom have already played a lot together for the Wailers on the Sevens circuit," said Laycock.
"Having an experienced 7s international like Rob Vickerman coming into the side will be a boost for us, and with Jack Smales absent Aaron Myers will assume the captaincy duties having played so well down at Leicester.
"We know that Friday's tournament in Bath will see a step up in quality with some good Sevens sides in the mix, but we're aiming to start the season with some more silverware for the Falcons after winning the Leicester leg of the competition."
Friday's event is being shown live on ESPN, with The Hiding Place public bar at Kingston Park stadium showing all the action on the big screen.
