A SIX-TRY win for Hawks with hints of more to come meant that Hawks got off to the start they desired.
They were immediately into gear - aided by West messing up their first line-out and the first scrum.
The ball was spun left from a line-out in West's 22 for Kerr Gosman to touch down in the corner after just five minutes.
Three minutes later a repeat move seemed to have produced Kerr's second try but a foot was in touch.
In 13 minutes West got on the board with a long penalty by Conor Davis but Hawks were well in control.
After blood replacement Andy White had kicked a penalty the Gossman brothers conjured up Hawks' third try with an exciting piece of handling.
Craig broke from deep and exchanged passes at full pace with Kerr before touching down for White to convert.
The bonus point came in the first half's final minute. Hawks broke from under their posts with Adamson carrying the ball for 80 metres before sending in Kerr Gossman for the try the former converted to let the hosts turn leading 29-3.
West at least didn't lie down, scoring the first try of the second period in 42 minutes through Mark Jenkinson with Davis converting and they closed the day with a try from Alex Fisken.
In between, Kerr Gossman completed his hat-trick with Adamson converting and a side-foot through by Adamson let Craig Gossman bag his brace.
