Accies update from Ally G

Good morning all
At 6pm this evening Accies leave New Anniesland for the long haul to Thurso to play Caithness in the 6th game in the 22 game league programme. The team will travel as far as Helmsdale this evening where they will stay at the Belgrave Arms Hotel overnight. In the morning they complete the journey to Thurso.
Caithness are always accommodating in allowing the game to start at 2pm rather than 3pm to make the journey home a little easier.
Although Caithness have lost their first five game so far they cannot be taken lightly as they are formidable opponents on their difficult pitch especially if it is wet and windy.
As happens on these trips the away side very rarely travel with their best side due to work and family commitments and tomorrow is no exception. Jamie Robertson is missing due to his medical duties and Jack Walker is still injured, however seven of the pack that played last week are there and the pack is bolstered by the return of Kenneth Beattie and Graeme Ker
In the backs there are three changes but the core of the unit. Ross Chassels, Stewart Smith (the captain) and half backs Ali McLaren and Stephen O'Donnell all travel. The replacements, including those on the bench, Douglas Laidlaw, Oliver Ross and Tom Cullen have recently joined the Club. In training they have shown that they have exceptional pace. Andrew Brown on the wing has recently played in the 1st XV.
The players need to focus on the fact that two years ago they travelled North and won the game. Same again would do nicely.
