Hotel cooks up sponsor deal to back rugby stars
Hawks top scorer Mikey Adamson and team-mates Ross Walker, Dean Kelbrick and Jono Wright join chef David Gault in the Hilton Grosvenor kitchen
Players from the Glasgow Hawks rugby team had a scrumtious time in the kitchens of a city hotel to launch their new kit.
Hilton Glasgow’s Grosvenor Hotel in the west end has sponsored the amateur team for the coming season.
And players teamed up with chefs from the hotel’s Bo’Vine restaurant to swap skills for the day. Team-mates Dean Kelbrick, Ross Walker and Jono Wright provided support as Hawks top scorer Mikey Adamson got to grips with holding the wooden spoon.
The three times Scottish champions and three times Scottish Cup winners will be hoping it is for the last time they have anything to do with one this season.
Chef David Gault passed on culinary tips to the players while they dished out a lesson of their own with a quick scrum in the restaurant with the chefs.
Hilton Grosvenor and the Glasgow Hawks are hoping the new sponsorship deal will have all the key ingredients for a successful season.
