Good morning everyone,
As we approach Remembrance Day on the 11th November I recommend that you look up the Accies website and look in the News Section at a wonderful piece put together by Hugh Barrow entitled 'On Gallipoli's Far Shore' as it puts the ups and downs of rugby into true perspective. At the same time I suggest that you look at the piece referring to the presentation of a defibrillator to the Club last Saturday after the game against Annan. The Club are very grateful to the Craig Hodgkinson Trust for this gift and hope that it will never needed. 6 Club members have already been trained in its use. The web address is www.glasgowacciesrfc.com
For once Accies are able to field a team with only one change, Fraser Cameron comes into the second row in place of Adam Taylor. Fraser was, up to two seasons ago, a regular in the side but his new job required that he worked on a Saturday
The 1st XV are away to Stewartry at Castle Douglas, kick off 2-00pm, and will be seeking their first away game of the season. Never an easy place to play but hopefully they can win sufficient ball to release their speedy back division.
The target now is to catch Kilmarnock to ensure that Accies are the top team in the West thus ensuring that, if the league reorganisation goes through, that they are in the highest division possible.
Congratulations to Dougie Horner and Natalie on the birth of their baby daughter, Lilly, on Monday. Both are doing well and we hope to see Dougie back again soon.
