Changing room chat: Ricky Munday aims to hit the heights
Published Date: 09 November 2010
FORMER Glasgow Hawks centre Ricky Munday, 33, is to tackle the three highest peaks in Australasia. The peaks, all located on the island of New Guinea, are Puncak Mandala (4,684m), Puncak Jaya (Carstensz Pyramid, 4,884m) and Puncak Trikora (4,730m).
The six-week expedition will raise funds for Raleigh, the youth programme.
Munday harbours an ambition to climb the three highest peaks on each continent, and in 2008, he organised and led the Africa 3 Peaks Expedition.
