West of Scotland 13-43 Glasgow Hawks

Quick try from Tom Stephen under posts created false impression of easy afternoon ahead. Had to battle to 25th min to score again. Lot of wrong options and West battling away at the breakdown made it a frustrating afternoon. Mark Taylor did finish great move in corner for 12-0. Andy Hill moved to no.8 after Hoggy's injury and after great scrum pick gave superb offload inside to Rob Niven who sprinted under posts. Mike Martin added 2nd conv for 19-0. West attacked to our line and after one pick/go scored beside posts. 19-7 after 33mins. Gav McDonald finished great run from Tailsie , a set move getting just reward. West kicked pen on HT, 24-10. Another early West long-range pen , 24-13. Rest of game bit turgid apart from 3 fantastic scores. Andy Hill finished after great lineout and Tom Stephen's break, 31-13 after 51mins. Jonno Wright livened last 20mins with 2 sublime runs. Both started in own half , first off a wheeling scrum, 2nd in broken play. Not a finger laid on him! Gave scoreline a better reflection, 43-13.
