Accies update from Ally G

Good evening all,
Accies return to New Anniesland on Saturday to play the only English based side in the league, namely Berwick. Kick off 1pm weather permitting.
Berwick are flying high this year and lie in second position with only two defeats. Accies with a few key players missing lost to them 31-24 in Berwick at the start of the season but even in defeat scored 4 tries and earned 2 bonus points.
Saturday is a tough assignment but Accies have been able to strengthen the side from last week. Mike Hermes is back on the wing, Stephen O'Donnell returns to his favoured position at scrum half, Brad Bell comes into the centre and the experienced Ross Chassels fills Brad's place at full back. The back line seems to be well balanced and has good pace in it.
In the forwards, Matteo Giovanazzi is back at hooker and that should solve the lineout problem of last week, Fraser Cameron brings his bulk back to the second row and Adam Taylor is able to fill his natural position at blind side flanker. In the final change Graeme Simpson is back at No. 8 and adds height and experience to the forwards. It looks to be a more balanced forward line up with everyone playing in their natural position.
A huge effort will be required as Berwick have an effective pack of forwards. If the forwards can get enough ball to the backs there could be an upset.
I know it is an early kick off and Scotland are playing on the TV but come out and give the boys your support.
