The Belshill Speaker reports
UDDINGSTON Rugby Club have handed over a £400 donation to a trust fund which provided the club with a defibrillator for use in emergencies.
The potentially lifesaving piece of equipment was donated to the club last year by Craig Hodgkinson Trust, set up in memory of a former Glasgow Hawks player who died from an unknown cardiac defect while playing a game for the Royal Navy.
The club recently organised a further re-qualification event at which training was delivered by Scottish Ambulance Service community resuscitation development officer Anne Harrison and colleagues to members and parents of the various rugby and hockey sections.
