Good morning everyone,
I am sorry to report that due to the continuing spell of cold weather the Accies game against the Exiles XV on Boxing Day has been cancelled. The family lunch has also been cancelled.
The Clubhouse at New Anniesland is still expected to be busy as the President of the Club, Lindsay Crawford and members of the board are having lunch with the school leavers from last June. This takes place in the upper bar at 12 noon.
From 2pm you will be welcome to join the younger members in the bar where a light lunch will be available. A warm clubhouse, a welcoming bar and some good chat may not be too bad an idea for a cold day if you want to get out of the house.
There will also be entertainment outside as there will be touch rugby for the more energetic and the running of the Glasgow Accies 100 metre sprint. A bit like Powderhall but the prizes may be a bit more modest.
The evening activities will go ahead as planned with the Accies in-house band the B-Flats in full session.
Rehearsals have been going on for some time. They will be performing at 7pm. A disco and other events will follow and the Clubhouse will be open till 1pm. Come along or persuade the youngsters in your family to make an appearance. The cost is only £5. There will be food available to absorb the alcohol.
This is the last event of the season and at this time Gordon Wilson and his committee, the coaches and players wish you a very happy Christmas and a healthy and prosperous 2011 and a big thank you for your support this year.
We look forward to seeing you on 8th January when we play Newton Stewart in the first round of the Shield
