Gordon Mackay played in the back row for Accies and Hawks in the double winning season of 1997-98 along with such as Tommy Hayes and Glenn Metcalfe before playing pro with Glasgow and eventally in France
Irenne was captain of Milngavie and Bearsden Swimming Club at the time when a young hopefull called Alison Sheppard started to make her mark.
