Mark  Stewart makes a welcome return to action in this Sunday's B&I Cup tie against Birmingham and Solihull at Damson Park. Having been out with a hamstring problem for several months the influential centre is eager to get back into the action once again. He will be teaming up with young Robbie Fergusson in the midfield as he stakes a claim for a Scotland Under 18 place.

A better known player, Johnnie Beattie (Glasgow Warriors), is also out to stake an international place albeit a full Scotland return in the Six Nations and the entire Ayr club will be delighted if we can help him get there. One of the Scotland coaches will be at the game to see him in action.

Paddy Boyer (Glasgow Hawks) has stepped into the breach to help us out following the late withdrawal of Ross Samson due to a virus. We are very grateful to Paddy and Glasgow Hawks for their continuing support of our progress in this tournament.
