THE SCOTTISH ATHLETICS INDOOR 3000M AND SUPERTEAMS CHAMPIONSHIPS TOOK PLACE AT KELVIN HALL INDOOR ARENA ON SATURDAY.

The most notable performance in the 3000m races was by Neil Gourlay (Giffnock North) who set an U17 Scottish Indoor record when winning his event. His winning time was 9.02.28 which placed him 2nd overall in the mixed 17/20s race. The older age-group was won by Irish athlete Danny Mullens (Togher) in 8.56.01 with Martin Fishwick (Giffnock North) 2nd in 9.08.19.
