Hearts and Balls

I am writing to you in order to hopefully gain your support for our event in April 2011. We are a group of second year Events Management students studying at Queen Margaret University in Edinburgh. As part of our curriculum we are required to host an event, we have chosen to host a "Sports Heroes" themed race night. Our group decided we wanted to host an event that would be memorable to the attendees and also, life-changing for those involved, and so the "Race to Raise" project began.

We chose "Hearts & Balls" charity which is a rugby-based charity supporting players who have been seriously injured in sporting accidents. From this charity we have gained great support and are working closely with them in order to ensure our event will be a success. The event is based around the main goal of the evening, to award two players with lifetime achievement, and outstanding achievement awards from Queen Margaret University.

On the evening there will be live entertainment, guest speakers, a race night, a raffle and an auction; including a signed Manchester United FC strip, Liverpool FC strip and a Scotland Rugby Strip & Ball, to name a few. The event will see the first ever QMU Sports Heroes Awards being given, and we hope that it is a success and a legacy is created.

The event will take place on Friday 1st April at Murrayfield Stadium, Edinburgh. Champagne Reception commencing from 7pm.

Tickets for the event are now on sale and selling out fast! Tickets are priced at £35 a head, or £325 for a table for ten.
