Glenalmond College won the Brewin Dolphin under-18 Scottish Schools Plate final on the back pitches at Murrayfield tonight with a four tries to nil margin over the High School of Glasgow.
Man of the match, Glenalmond stand-off Charlie Winton, got their challenge off to a rollicking start with an interception try in the second minute, his half-back partner, Stirling Fenton converting.

Glenalmond continued to set the pace throughout the remainder of the first-half adding tries through full-back George Smith and a second from Winton, Fenton again goaling the latter’s score for a 19-0 interval lead.
High School of Glasgow claimed their first points with a penalty from full-back Euan Bell in the 45th minute and Bell was on target with his second success eight minutes later.
However, any notion of a High School fightback was dispelled in the 62nd minute when Calum McCoss, Glenalmond’s left wing dotted down their fourth try, Fenton adding the extras.
