FORWARDS RETURN AS MACK PLOTS IRISH DOWNFALL

Scotland coach Steve McCormack has drafted in two former Super League
forwards for the Rugby League European Nations Cupclash with Ireland
on Sunday at Glasgow Hawks as he attempts to overcome Sunday's 22-14
defeat in Wales.

Scotland were lacking sizeconsiderably in the forward pack having lost
Wayne McDonald and Duncan MacGillivray in the week before the game.
With the prospect of facing the likes of Terry O'Connor and Barrie
McDermott on Sundays, McCormack has called up former Huddersfield Giant
second rower Iain Morrison and ex Widnes Viking prop Ryan MacDonald.

Neither appeared in last season's championship but were cappedbefore
McCormack's reign and Morrison, the ex Scotland Under-19 rugby union
internationalist, impressed the Scotland coach during a loan spell with
Whitehaven this summer.

Morrison signed for Hull KR last week while MacDonaldcompleted an
impressive season with Halifax. The Scotland squad is back up to 20 as
Ian Sinfield, a late call-up last weekend for Wayne McDonald, is
unavailable.

Sinfield, who impressed with a hard-working display against Wales,
spent the evening before the game in Scotlandís Swansea hotel watching
younger brother Kevin captain Leeds Rhinos on TV in the engage Super
League Grand Final. Sat beside him was his room-mate, Andrew Henderson,
whose brother Ian was on the winning Bradford Bulls side. To both
playersí credit, little was said during the game between them and
Sinfield was left in peace to phone his family at the final whistle
after Leedsí defeat.
