Good morning all,
After the euphoria of last Saturday when we beat Berwick by a single point and the revival of the Accie Ball in the evening we are back to earth but still with the wheels down. Stewartry are the visitors to New Anniesland tomorrow, kick off 3pm. This is our last game at New Anniesland as we will have to find a ground to play Highland on Saturday 30th April as by then the cricket season will be under way.
Before the match tomorrow we are holding the last pre-match lunch of the season. There are still places available. If you are able to attend please call me on 0141 616 4056.
There are only two changes in the side from the winning team of last week. Centre threequarter Stewart Seaton is unavailable and is replaced by Jamie Williamson who has recovered from injury.
Last week prop forward Fabio Marchetti was stuck in Paris while on a business trip and missed the game. He takes his place in the front row and Dave Calder moves to the bench. Also on the bench is Jack Walker now fully restored to fitness and young Robert Beattie, younger son of Duncan, who is an excellent prospect as a scrum half.
Stewartry are lying in 10th place in the league but are always a highly competitive side and we have had many jousts with them in the past. They need points to avoid relegation and therefore I am sure that it will be a hard game.
We look forward to seeing you at New Anniesland giving the boys your support
Alasdair Graham
