The Scotsman reveals
It is understood that an announcement regarding Bradley will be made imminently with today's scheduled team announcement for Friday's concluding Magners League visit to Treviso re-arranged as Edinburgh prepare to take advantage of expertise gained by an individual credited with raising Connacht beyond the development status they once seemed destined for in Irish rugby.
Having installed Bradley, who moved on from Connacht last season and who is currently assisting World Cup qualifiers Georgia (along with ex-Scotland coach Richie Dixon) as well as All Ireland Division Two side Midleton, from Cork, the focus will switch to ways of providing extra opportunities for home reared coaching talent.
One Murrayfield source has singled out Ally Donaldson (Currie), Craig Chalmers (Melrose) and Peter Wright (Glasgow Hawks) for special development 'status'.
The source has indicated to the Evening News that Chalmers in particular could be on his way back to the professional arena sooner rather than later with Donaldson's situation clouded by the fact he is currently employed in the teaching sector.
As for ex-Boroughmuir prop Peter Wright, his role as director of rugby at Hawks may have taken on a different perspective with the club failing in a bid to reach next season's British and Irish Cup.
However, Wright is highly regarded as a Scotland under-20 coach and the age-group route is the one authorities are keen to go down by way of putting more responsibility on Scotland's best club coaches.
As for Bradley, he is believed to have beaten competition from ex-Ireland coach Eddie O'Sullivan, amongst others.
