GHK produced some glorious rugby to match the weather in a try-fest at OA running in 17 tries and 11 conversions to win 107 - 12 in the final league game of the season.

To avoid writers cramp and finding a cure for insomnia this final report of the year is mercifully short ! All credit to a weakened Hawick side who kept working hard throughout and were rewarded with a 14 man (the winger may just have got there to make it a 15 man !!) drive to score 19 mins in to the second half, swiftly followed 3 mins later by a 40 metre interception, with their middle row slotting the conversion in front of the posts.

GHK have scored scored some magnificent tries playing a very attractive brand of rugby throughout the season and Saturday's game saw some of the best;the scoreboard clicking over every few minutes. For the record,Hugh P,Tony H and Rory L scored hatricks, Mikey B, Danny H and Mike A bagged doubles and Adam MacL and Greg W scored one a piece.
There were a few bangs and bumps on the hard ground but hopefully nothing the physios can't put right, as the boys keep the training going over the next few weeks to be fully prepared for their forthcoming tour to Colorado.

GHK have a very good squad of young guns with great team spirit, very well marshalled and encouraged by head coach Kenny H and his coaching team. With this season's experience under their belts and a tour to follow, the Club is ideally placed to start next season with a bang, whatever League structure is in place!

A very big thanks to all the players, coaches, committee and backroom support for their hard work and commitment, at every level, throughout the long season.
