Former Hawk Duncan Weir was runner-up for the Magners League try-of-the-season award.
The stand-off was pipped by Ospreys’ Ashley Beck, whose score was notched against the Warriors at the Liberty Stadium.
Duncan revealed his solo effort in the match with the Scarlets wasn’t even a contender for the club’s version of the prize, which was won by Federico Aramburu.
He said in the Evening Times: “It was a huge surprise and an honour to earn a nomination for the Magners award and a thrill to be invited to the presentation dinner in Ireland.
“It didn’t occur to me for even a second that I would be involved because that particular touchdown didn’t even get a mention at the Glasgow award, which went to Freddie.
“The one he scored against Toulouse in the Heienken Cup was a tremendous team try.”
