Walk the Walk Breast Cancer Charity- The Moonwalk
Krystan, Emma and Mandy would like to thank the Hawks players who helped make their charity night on Friday, for Walk the Walk Breast Cancer Charity , such a fantastic rip-roaring success. The amazing amount of £1500 was raised by the Moulin Rouge themed evening in Krystan's house. The girls are undertaking The Moonwalk 26miles through the streets of Edinburgh on the night of 11th June, and Friday was a fantastic boost to their fundraising. The ladies of the Dunblane area couldn't remember such an experience as the chiselled torsos of Gav McDonald, Sean Murray, Peter Jericevich, Robbie McGregor and Mark Taylor supplied them with champagne and canapies while being serenaded by the new West End pop sensation , Mike Adamson , strumming the old guitar and belting out a few audience favourites. Fantastic raffle prizes from local businesses gave the night a real boost and by exuding charm the boys persuaded the ladies to buy lots of tickets.
Next year's event is already being planned , bigger and glitzier and aiming to raise more money. If you would like to help our total raised and make a donation, Emma has set up a page on the Walk The Walk site. http://www.walkthewalkfundraising.org/emma_mackenzie
Thanks again to the Glasgow Hawks boys, from the Moulin Rouge girls!!
